Memoirs II

Isla Margherita, Venezuela
Seven Mile Beach, Grand Cayman Islands
Aruba

So I never really finished talking about my last vacation, which needless to say was the most fun trip ever. If you don't know what I'm talking about, go here.

As a young girl in India, I never got to do any fun stuff with my friends. Like go to the movies or have slumber parties with all my girlfriends from school or go on spring break. Now that I'm 26 and older and living in Canada, I've had the chance to be the girl I could never be when I was growing up. I never thought I would ever work, or take trips like this with my friends, or have my own place. Or.....I could ramble on for a while.

Anyway, that cruise was one that will make a very sweet memory for a long, long time to come.

Long time!

I know, I know. It has officially been forever. In my defence, I have been very busy. Between work and school and my beloved P and my beloved home.

OK seriously, I have been keeping very busy. And to top it all, one of my best friends moved to Toronto. I am so, so happy for her but I am kind of sad for myself. I always have a hard time making friends, especially the kind who I know I will be friends with for a long time to come. I really do hope we won't let time and distance come between us.

On a happier note, you are now reading the work of a proud Canadian. That's right, on April 21, 2006, I gave up my Indian citizenship. But I do have to say, that I will always be an Indian at heart. As they say, you can take an Indian out of India but you can never take India out of an Indian.

Which reminds me, I am going to India again soon. First a stop in Italy and then I fly straight home to my Mommy and Daddy! It's been so long. I miss them terribly. The last time I was there, I cried the whole way back because I missed my Mommy so much.

So I can't wait to go back. And it was a fun ride the last time. I made a really good friend on the way and I really hope I can make some more friends on my way there this time.

Just before I leave, I finally realized that watching a movie is immensely more fun when you're cuddling with someone.
